A Giveaway for a Kindle Fire!

Announcing our March Madness Kindle Fire Giveaway! Here at the Kindle Fire Department, we're always trying to come up with ways to enrich the experience people have with their Kindles, so for this contest we've invited some of our most popular book of the day authors to come back and give us a goooood reason to pick up their books. We've assembled an impressive list of bestsellers and up-and-comers, and getting in touch with them can earn you big points for this contest. Tasks like posting comments on their pages, checking out a sample of their book, or even posting a review can all be done more than once for different authors. They comprise a wide variety of genres, so there should be something familiar and something new to try for everyone!

  5. I'm a fan of fractured fairy tales and the macabre, so I read the sample of Alice in Deadland. Zombie stories are all the rage right now, and the author is making a smart move by tapping into that sub-genre. I can't say there was enough in the sample to get a good feel for the story; mostly setup, and teasers for where the story could go. I am curious as to how the author will handle the later parts of the story, and some of the more complex characters (not that the characters in Alice in Wonderland are all that complex.

  8. She is indeed a very good writer and she does it all without smutty language and overbearing heavy handed sexual content. She drives the plot along at a very smart pace. Only thing I don't like is that once I pick up one of her books, I get nothing done until I FINISHED Athe book. LOL
