ReplyDeleteGlad you're enjoying it, Swaine777!
ReplyDeleteKids Place With Child Lock is awesome! I have another program which does much of the same things; however, I prefer the design of Kids Place as it seems less "busy" and therefore, more user-friendly.
ReplyDeleteGlad we could help, M. It is a great parental control app!
DeleteYour free apps and books have really helped me get the most out of my Fire! I am very grateful! I hope your sponsors pay you the big bucks!
ReplyDeleteYou may have to print more copies, because by the time I go to the bookshop, it may be sold out!
DeleteIf all the apps are for Android why are they called "Free Fire Apps"?
ReplyDeleteHi Nick, that's the name of this page. Although all the Android apps here are compatible with the Kindle Fire, they may not work for some other Android devices. Hope that helps!
DeleteDo NOT download Ice Age. My Kindle is stuck in the game. I can't get to Home or turn off Wifi. I even deleted the app, but there it sits, not allowing me to use the Fire for anything else. I am totally ticked off that this game does this. I will continue to email Amazon until they fix it. If they don't, then I will go far and wide warning everybody how Apps will make your device useless.
ReplyDeleteMarva, app freezes happen. I recommend doing a hard reset by holding down the power button for 20-30 seconds. As for being unable to get rid of the app, I've heard of a few other situations like this, and App Remover was always able to handle the job. Calling customer service can often be more effective than sending emails. I'm sorry to hear about your situation, and I hope this helps get it resolved!
DeleteI downloaded relaxing birds and can't get it to work. The birds chirp, but that is all it does. I have push, swipped the birds but nothing makes them move... :(
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately there's not really much we can do if specific apps aren't working properly. We try to pick ones with good reviews. Sorry for the trouble!
Deleteluckily it was free. I will keep trying. I have enjoyed the rest of my apps. Thanks
DeleteKindle Fire Department has helped me get so much use from my Fire! I use the free apps almost daily and the free books are great finds. Thanks for the free games, too!! I really like the Book Collections App!! Keep up the good work and the great service!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Joyce! :)
DeleteAre you ever going to put "Scrabble" on the Kinde Fire for FREE? Thanks
ReplyDeleteHi Joyce, keep in mind that we have no control over anything Amazon does, and most likely big name apps like that won't ever be made free. It would be great, but unfortunately it's unlikely to happen.
Deleteok thanks for your rapid response. I just didnt understand why it is free on a laptop or desktop but not on the Kindle, but now do....hmmmm.thanks again
ReplyDeleteMagisto Video Editor is gone from Amazon.
ReplyDeleteInteresting. I wonder why they got rid of that one.
DeleteMy copy of Cool Reader (not certain which release I was running)for my Kindle Fire v.1 stopped working correctly. Specifically the Text to Speech (Read Aloud) function no longer works and my day/night mode text color settings suddenly changed. Did your blog or posts on Facebook include directions on downloading and installing Cool Reader? I stupidly did not save the notes I took at the time and am trying to backtrack to where I found the info.
ReplyDeleteHmm, I'm not sure if we specifically got into Cool Reader. You should be able to just search for the .apk and then sideload it as you would any other app. Hope that helps!
DeleteJust a big thank you......your daily email with new books and apps is something we look forward to each day and I wanted you to know how much we appreciate the work!
ReplyDeleteThank you! That's very kind of you to say. We're glad to help! :)
DeleteYou guys help keep my kindle full of new and great things to do. For not only me but my children as well. Big ups and kudos from me to you guys! Keep up the great work!
ReplyDeleteMany thanks for your kind comment, Joshua! We appreciate you coming to visit us! :)
DeleteI always wonder if it is possible to put too many apps on my kindle fire....how much room could there be? I don't know if I should choose carefully and make sure I really want the apps. Thank you for any advice about this.
ReplyDeleteHi Carmee, you can go to Quick Settings>More>Device to find out how much room you have. Most likely you have a ton, plus you have infinite space in the cloud. So get as much as you'd like! :)
DeleteOk so I expect that a site that supports Kindle Fire would not list an app that is not compatible with a Fire..i.e...the CW Network...very frustrating...of course the next question is why don't a lot of the android apps work on the Fire? Missing a huge market here Amazon...
ReplyDeleteThat's interesting that the CW Network app is listed as compatible with the original Fire but not the Fire HD. Most likely someone in charge of that app simply didn't check the right box.
DeleteMost android apps do work on the Fire, though not all. Certainly some have different capabilities or requirements, like GPS, that the Fire doesn't have, but other than that most work as long as it's fitted to the right screen size.
The link to Pool Mania goes to a 404 page. :/
ReplyDeleteLooks like that one got taken down for whatever reason. Bummer!
DeleteGood day! I have a really good educational app for kids on amazon app store! Here is it:
